Wherever possible, we use high productivity "Rapid application development" (RAD) tools such as MS Visual Basic. Our solutions are often based on web technologies such as ASP, Perl CGI and PHP.

The first phase of any development project is the performing of a full requirements gathering exercise. Our analysts will talk to the project sponsor as well as end users to formulate an exact list of requirements for your software. Our preferred design methodology is, as mentioned above, "Rapid application development" (RAD) and we place emphasis on user involvement during the design process.

From this requirements gathering, a system specification is produced for your approval. Once signed off this will be used as the basis for the project's development.

During the development process we will meet with you regularly to discuss progress and any required changes to specification.

FirstCMS have vast experience in migrating data from existing systems, whether existing RDBMS, user files or other formats. We can take existing flat-file data and transform it into a normalised structure.

Where necessary FirstCMS will implement a training needs analysis and design suitable courses for your users as an integral part of any software solution that is deployed.
